Lahore's Favourite Mango Cake Is Back for the Season
The mango on top is real fruit, not flavouring. That's the first thing you notice when a Shezan Bakers Mango Cake arrives at your door. Lahore's summer has one cake that actually belongs to it, and this is the one bakeries here have made for decades.
We build this cake only when mangoes hit their peak, usually from June through August. Outside that window, you won't find it on our menu. We'd rather skip a few months of sales than serve you a mango cake made with syrup or canned pulp pretending to be the real thing.
What Goes Into Shezan's Mango Cake
This is a four-layer sponge cake, soft and airy, built specifically to hold mango without going soggy. Between each layer sits a mango cream filling made fresh from pureed mangoes blended into whipped cream. No mango essence. No yellow food colour stands in for the real fruit.
The top gets a glaze of fresh mango cubes set over a thin layer of mango compote, so every slice carries actual fruit texture, not just sweetness. The sides are finished with a piped buttercream border, giving it the clean, premium look that holds up whether you're sending it as a gift or serving it at home.
